Overview
The Mayan Walled City of Tulum, a fort with the most beautiful view of the Caribbean sea. Right in front of the Mesoamerican Coral Barrier Reef, the main temple stands tall on top of the highest point in the Caribbean coastline. An early visit is one of the must-do’s in the Mexican Caribbean. Surrounded by mangroves and coastal sand dune vegetation, hidden between rocks, fauna sightings are very common. Mayan people must have enjoyed this privileged merchants trading city.
On our tour, our archeological guides accompany you. You can take some of the most spectacular pictures in the region if normal conditions are present.
Once we finish the visit to the archeological site, we take you to Sac Aktun, located just a 25-minute drive north of Tulum. This spectacular cenote, also known as Pet Cemetery, has an oasis of incomparable beauty, speleological formations (speleothems),artificial and natural lighting. Divers are able to visit places like this one everywhere in the Yucatan Peninsula. This is the place for snorkelers. As we go through the cave, we can discover all sorts of shapes and colors and maybe spot some of the cave animals that have adapted to these conditions.Â
We finish the tour by sampling Mexican antojitos for lunch. A great place to end your tour.
