Overview
Whether you are arriving by air, or on a Cruise ship, our Cozumel tour is a must see. Cozumel is an Island that became famous for having the most spectacular diving spots in the world. But what no one talks about, is that it is the first city that developed for tourism in the Mexican Riviera Maya. It has ruins, a beautiful downtown area, a typical Mexican market, and more. This magnificent Island, with its own airport (built before the one in Cancun), will be our destination for a day.Â
Once we pick you up, we will take you to the market to have a taste of the local cuisine for a nice breakfast, where we get to meet our guide, who will also walk us around to enjoy the colorfulness of Mexico’s markets. From there we continue driving around the islands downtown and some special spots. Our next stop will be either at a snorkeling spot or the Mayan ruins of el Cedral, depending on weather conditions. And then we get to one of the most beautiful spots in Cozumel: The National Park of Punta Sur. Here, we will take you to a bird watching tower surrounded by mangroves. Bird sightings increase during the winter months. Crocodiles can also be spotted as well as other local fauna, some species are only found on the island( endemic to Cozumel). Another point of interest is the lighthouse, which you can still climb and enjoy an incredible Panoramic View. You don’t want to miss out on this opportunity to get the best view from the island in Punta Sur.Â
Time for lunch and relaxation at the beach. Yay! Enjoy your lunch with a view of the turquoise waters of the island.Â
